Hey, we’re Refactor.

We’re a growing team of recruiters who genuinely give a sh*t about what we do. Built by people who’ve been in the game long enough to know what works (and what doesn’t), we’re here to do recruitment with less fluff and a lot more function.

Refactor was founded by James Farrey, or Farrey/Faz/Fazza depending on who you ask… a loud Geordie with 13+ years’ experience connecting brilliant humans with the companies that deserve them.

After a decade leading recruitment across Australia’s tech scene, James had seen enough of the noise: the ghosting, the salesy nonsense, the “spray and pray” culture that gives recruitment a bad name.

So he decided to build something better — and bring others on the ride.

We started Refactor because we wanted to do recruitment the way we believe it should be done:
